Quarantine Day 4 - Back to work...then back to quarantine.
I made Monday an early night planning to sleep in till 7 and get to work around 8:30.
Well...my body apparently was too excited. I woke up at 4:30 so got up, got showered and ready and went to work around the normal time. I took my time and still it was amazing to see so little traffic on the road. I got to work around my normal 7:30. Got up top and let myself in and it was just damned eerie. Not like the center is at Christmas. Even then there's usually a handful of students and a full staff. The center is still somewhat alive...but when I got in and saw the hallway with all the doors closed, no activity, no noise. It was weird.
I got into my office and immediately got down to business. First I had to spend about 20 minutes getting everything hooked back up. When I left I powered down all my stuff and unplugged it just in case. I got everything powered up and felt really good. I was in my office, in my chair and starting my day. It felt normal which things haven't felt in awhile.
My new boss arrived and we got him setup in his office. Meanwhile I started building imaging media. I was brought in today to try and image up as many laptops as I could just in case we need them. I did some other tickets and did the big task. I got all the laptops we could do setup and then finally had to admit I had nothing else to do on center. Again I had to leave my office and prepare for the uncertainty of furlough. I left my stuff hooked up this time though. :)
I got home and Wendy was still teaching. That felt so nice to see. I love that she's able to do this and that I was able to make it happen. I decided to give her the office and went and took a nice little nap.
I woke up around 5ish to some more requests for information from both Corporate and my new boss. Who knows...maybe I will be able to still help out while being home. I did some light work, researched an issue with leaves and then thought I'd catch up on this blog.
Tomorrow the kids come back and we see what quarantine is like with three teenagers.
I don't think I'm going to survive.
Thanks for Reading.
